acting
Influenced by watching thousands of hours of Carol Burnett, Mel
Brooks, Flip Wilson, Madeleine Khan, Terri Garr, Goldie Hawn, Gilda
Radner, Angie Dickenson, Richard Pryor, and many more, she skipped
team sports in favor of the stage.
She was a student at A.C.T. in
San Francisco as a child, The Attic Theater, a member of the Donna Vercesi Dancers (tap & jazz), and the alto in a signing group called
Underground Parking. Later she was a student at The Groundlings
(early 1990s -- Kathy Griffin was her teacher), and Second City in
Chicago (later 1990s).
She was the featured singer in a few top 40
bands and back-up singer for the Joe Wood Blues band. She has more
recently studied Improv with Jim Doughan and George McGrath. She
worships them both in different and appropriate ways. She studied
stand-up comedy with Judy Carter, and has continued to work on her
act with the king of comedy in Orange County, Mr. Bill Word.
She is out there playing clubs and theaters right now – go see her!!
